And on December 12, it was announced that Louise Trotter will become the new creative director of Bottega Veneta, as Matthieu Blazy is leaving his position and moving to Chanel.
Bottega Veneta SS25 collection is a return to childhood and boundless imagination. Matthieu Blazy describes it as a journey into the past, where adults can remember themselves as children, free from conventions and rules.
“In childhood, there are everyday adventures – there is a feeling that anything can happen… The door is always open to new amazing possibilities…”, – notes the designer. This idea is reflected in the collection through the shapes of animals that come to life in clothes, and elements that are reminiscent of a playroom filled with sunlight. But this is not just a game – it is a story of growing up, where the characters find themselves, remembering who they used to be. The key emphasis of the collection is that these things are not just worn, but lived. Here, childish playfulness is combined with purposefulness – the perfect formula for the modern world, where fashion gives everyone the power and opportunity to tell about their unique personality.
